Queanbeyan City FC Barred from Using Riverside Stadium

In a move which has gone against the recommendation of the council’s own report, the Queanbeyan Palerang Regional Council has barred Queanbeyan City football club from using the Riverside Stadium.

Despite the stadium being next to the clubhouse the club built, they will be required to use the High Street oval instead.

The High Street oval doesn’t have a clubhouse, and the lights are too weak to facilitate the night games scheduled.

In contrast, Riverside stadium will be used solely by the Monaro Panthers and lie unused every second weekend when the Panthers play their away games.
