Queensland Senator Rejects Impeding Territory Rights

Queensland Senator Matt Canavan has rejected claims that his proposed bill would impede ACT rights, after a motion to extend an inquiry into his bill on the former Calvary Hospital takeover was passed.

The motion passed 31 votes to 30, and will include public hearings to be held in Canberra over the hospital acquisition.

Senator Canavan has argued that his bill is about transparency.
