The Australian Federal Police Association has expressed concerns over the proposed pay deal for police across the border.

In a new deal for New South Wales police, recruits training at the Goulburn Academy will be paid $30,000 over a 16-week study period.

The A.C.T.’s Police Union says this could pose serious risks for recruitment in the nation’s capital.

Union President Alex Caruana says there’s no incentive for officers to stay in the ACT.
