A new report suggests the A.C.T.’s rental laws have helped reduce rent increases and improve interactions between landlords and tenants.

According to Better Renting’s COST OF RENTING report… renters in Canberra faced smaller rent increases, than any other jurisdiction in the country.

The report surveyed 1400 renters across Australia… more than a hundred lived in the A.C.T.

There’s also been greater compliance with rental laws in Canberra, compared with the rest of the country.

BETTER RENTING also says there’s been a drop in the number of negative stories from tenants in the A.C.T. compared with other jurisdictions in Australia.
