Renters Not Told Of Hotel Quarantine

Despite signing a lease after the decision was made to take in overseas travelers, new tenant Justin Weng says he signed a lease on November 12, and wasn’t told of the decision on hotel quarantine until he picked up the keys on November 17.

Mr Weng said he was upset at the decision because of the potential of staying in a building where people may have contracted covid-19.

An ACT Health spokesman said residents at the Pacific Suites were given notice as long as possible before the returned travellers arrived for hotel quarantine.
