Emergency crews from the ACT have been called in to assist their NSW counterparts after a serious accident in Gundaroo.

Paramedics and fire and rescue are currently at the scene of the incident on Gundaroo Road.

The ambulance rescue helicopter has been called to assist in transporting patients.

Local road closures may be in place and drivers are being advised to avoid the area if possible.
