Canberrans who hold tickets with REX Airlines are being told to phone Virgin to ensure they get to their destination.

REX is now in voluntary administration.

Its Boeing 737 jet services have been cancelled across the country, while its regional propeller aircraft services have not been affected.

Passengers on REX flights from Canberra to Melbourne have not been disadvantaged, however, need to do a bit of leg work.

REX has organised for passengers to fly on Virgin at no extra cost – however, affected passengers need to contact Virgin Airlines to set-up a re-booking.

REX Frequent Flyer points have been frozen during the administration period.
