Police are concerned about the high number of motorcyclists, killed this year on A.C.T. roads – as the number of fatalities for 2024 continues to rise.

Police released details at the weekend about the death of a 33 year old woman in a single vehicle crash on Lady Denman Drive.

On Thursday night, The motorbike she was riding left the road and collided with a roadside barrier.

She received first aid a the scene and was taken to hospital in a critical condition, but died late Friday night.

Police say her death brings the A.C.T.’s road toll to 8 – 5 of those killed were motorbike riders.
