With Canberrans taking to the roads in the lead up to Christmas getaways, we’re again behind reminded to stay safe on our roads – and try to avoid bad habits behind the wheel.

 The warning comes after a very deadly 12 months on Australian roads and a huge increase in Canberra’s road fatalities in 2024.

 According to Russell White – Founder of the Australian road Safety Foundation… it’s more than the fatal five – it’s not just mobile phone use, fatigue, speeding drinking and drugs… and seatbelts.

He says Sometimes,  we just get too comfortable behind the wheel.
