ACT Police have increased protections at Jewish centres across the territory, following the Bondi mass shooting attack on Sunday.
In a statement, Police have called on the community to look out for one another and remain calm.
The community can expect to see a visible police presence at events in Canberra this summer.
16 people have now been confirmed dead and 38 people injured, with New South Wales Police saying a father and son carried out the attack.
