Setback for new public transport ticketing system


Plans for a new public transport ticketing system in the ACT are facing further delays after talks with the chosen provider broke down.

The ACT government is looking to replace MyWay with an account based system that enables fares to be paid using mobile phones or tapping on and off with a credit card.

The government will now re-advertise the open tender process, claiming the preferred provider did not represent value for money.
