Concerns have been raised that Canberra’s smaller grocery stores are at the brink of annihilation by the bigger supermarket giants.

The claim’s been made by consumer spending expert Graeme Hughes who says the concerns have been around for many years, but he says it’s now stronger than ever….

He says it’s all because of the significant pressure from the supermarkets.. but he says the smaller outlets have provided great competition….
