A Canberra man’s facing the prospect of paying tens of thousands of dollars in stamp duty … plus years of penalty taxes.
In 2022, the man settled on an 870-thousand dollar home
he applied for the home-buyers concession scheme… giving him a $0.00 amount to be paid on residential properties that are under a million dollars.
But, the A.C.T. Civil and Administrative Tribunal found – he lied about his income… to access the concession scheme.
The total amount due is more than 28-thousand dollars…
