A.C.T. Shoppers will have their say on supermarket prices, now that an independent review has begun into the grocery sector.
The member for Fenner – ANDREW LEIGH in his role as the Assistant Minister for Competition – says the review will look at whether the grocery code is ensuring that both suppliers and consumers are getting a fair deal.
The voluntary code of conduct has four signatories – Woolworths, Coles, Aldi and Metcash – and their suppliers are automatically covered.
A variety of issues are being considered.
