The latest opinion poll shows most Canberra voters don’t want the territory to decriminalise illicit drugs for personal use.
More than 13 hundred people voted in the Riotact survey…
60% rejected the plan – with fears, decriminalisation would prompt a significant rise in crime.
40% were in favour of the law change
Police are opposed to it.
The opposition’s already stated, it would change the law if it wins office at the next territory election.
The news laws are now just three weeks away.
