A tax crackdown is focussing on Canberrans who mix business with pleasure.

Among so many targets, The tax office is keenly looking into work related expenses as part of your tax return.

According to Moneywise Global boss John TUOHY… he warns tax payers to provide adequate records, scanned copies and summeries of expenses.. if you’re on location and mixing work days with leisure days.

He also warns – don’t be tempted to claim expenses involving a signifcant other.. if they’re along for the trip… and don’t double dip, if the expense has already been paid by the business.
