Educators are at breaking point over the teachers shortage in the ACT.

Some reports show there are teachers are scared in their own classrooms, and some teachers have 60 children in their classroom.

ACT AEU Branch President Angela Burroughs says the size of the class does impact the quality of the education.

“Unfortunately in the current situation it’s frequent,” Ms Burroughs said.

“In this situation teachers can’t provide a quality education.

“There are class limits for a reasons, and one of them is for the learning experience of students, a teaching aspect for educators, but also there is a safety aspect.”
