A teenage boy is back behind bars and due to return to court in three weeks over a weekend home invasion in Canberra.

The 17 year old was found not guilty of a stabbing murder in Canberra in 2020

But this week,  he was back in front of a judge facing fresh charges.

This time over the alleged assault of a woman during a burglary.

He’s not entered any pleas.

The judge denied a request for bail but also denied the media’s ability to report on reasons behind the decision.

However,  it can be reported,  the judge raised concerns if the boy would comply with bail conditions if they were set.

The teen’s due back in court early next month.
