A convicted armed thief will spend atleast five years in jail for a house break in that led to a man’s neck being broken.

The 26 yo was sentenced in the A.C.T. Supreme Court after previously pleading guilty to a variety of charges…. one of them, that he tricked a 14 year old boy into his home…. and broke his dad’s neck while demanding cash.

Another burglary happened a week later while armed with a knife and crowbar.

He’s been sentenced to 8 years jail – with a five year non parole period.
