Deputy Chief Minister Yvette Berry says she can’t confirm when the promised Tuggeranong ice rink will start construction or be open for business.

The Canberra Times reports the ACT government has dedicated land and more than $16 million to the rink, and says it will be ready this year – despite the project still in the planning and design phase.

Ms Berry says the government has expressed frustration about the inflated timeframe to the project partners.
