UC and ANU are among eight universities who have yet to implement policies on freedom of speech and academic freedom.

Australian universities agreed to adopt the principals of the model code produced by former High Court Chief Justice ROBERT FRENCH last year.

Both universalities have given assurances they are working towards adopting the model code.
