A rally’s been organised for tomorrow to protest against massive cut-backs at the University of Canberra.

The university recently announced, it needed to axe 200 staffing positions, with the Vice-Chancellor acknowledging, the Uni had been spending beyond its means… and was putting itself in an
un-sustainable position.

The National Tertiary Education Union  has since called on the A.C.T.’s legislative Assembly to hold an inquiry into the University’s governance.

It’s also called for a Federal Parliamentary probe.

The union’s also organised a rally, to be held tomorrow afternoon at 12:30, at the University of Canberra Concourse.
