In the wake of the REX Airlines collapse involving jet services,  Virgin is coming to the aid of Canberra passengers whose flights to Melbourne has been disrupted.

VIRGIN has offered a FREE transfer –

Canberrans who were travelling with REX, are advised to contact Virgin directly to ensure the transfer is completed.

MEANTIME – Virgin has taken a proactive approach to the free re-booking option for impacted REX passengers.

In a statement,  Virgin Australia says  “We have received close to 30,000 rebooking requests.

“We mobilised more than 200 additional Guest Contact Centre agents…  …to assist impacted Rex customers with immediate travel plans”

As of Wednesday Afternoon,      approximately 3,000 passengers were rebooked.

Virgin says it’s priority is being given to people who are travelling soon.

Anyone who has bookings outside of the next 48 hours can submit their transfer request via this online portal.
