The Voyager 2 SpaceCraft has made it’s first communication with Earth in more than 8 months through the Deep Space Tracking Station at Tidbinbilla.

A simple command of “Reset On-Board Clock” was sent which took more than 17 hours to reach the Spacecraft and another 17 to reach Earth through the Canberra Station.

Voyager 2 is now more than 18 billion kilometres from Earth, travelling at 17 kilometres a second.

The Space Craft was launched in 1977.
