Canberra based frequent flyers with Qantas are being heavily targeted by email scams.
Over the past fortnight, offers, allegedly from Qantas, have flooded the inbox of frequent flyers… and with Canberra being seen as a big political powerhouse, especially with an election just around the corner, loyal Qantas flyers in the national capital are being targeted.
From a gift card reward to being selected for a complimentary voucher.
It’s all just a scam, for you to click on a link and hand over your personal details. Don’t click the link.
The Qantas website acknowledges the frequency of such scams – admitting the messages look legitimate – urging frequent flyers to remain vigilant.

It’s not known if the scam emails are related to an incident in October last year, in which two Qantas contractors in India accessed customer profiles.
The pair was suspended in a major cyber fraud case.
800 Qantas frequent flyers were affected.
