– but a reminder notice is currently being distributed to Canberra home owners who incorrectly throw rubbish into their recylcling bin.

It’s to help as a “Waste Education” letter from the A.C.T. Government.

Collection vehicles are fitted with CCTV… so that collectors can monitor the waste being emptied from the bins into the truck.

If waste is seen to be a hazardous item… or some other contaminate… drivers will place a tag on the bin.

Canberrans are also being reminded, bins won’t be emptied if there’s a significant amount of wrong material.
