Strike action by workers at ICON WATER is expected this morning.

The two hour stoppage is over wage conditions.

Workers want a 12 percent pay rise over the next three years.

The worker’s union has called on the ACT government to intervene in negotiations, saying the pay offer from the company does not keep pace with the cost of living.

Further industrial action has been threatened if management does not offer a new deal.

The company says it’s open to dialogue.
