The ACT SES has responded to 112 calls for help following last night’s severe storm.

Belconnen and Woden were the worst affected areas in the ACT – with many residents reporting leaking roofs and fallen trees.

Murrumbateman also suffered, with one of the worst homes hit reporting a tree branch through the roof.

A garage shed also flew over a fence and landed upside down, while gutters were torn off and fence palings were blown away.

Emergency services have worked through the night to clear fallen power lines, with a number of homes in the area still without power.
