Court today for a 29 year old woman after she allegedly strangled and assaulted her mother in a family violence incident.

About 5.40 yesterday afternoon, the 29 year old allegedly struck her mother over the head with a bottle at their home, before strangling her to the point of unconsciousness.

The victim regained consciousness, but the woman tried to strangle her again.

The mother was able to escape the home and contacted police who arrested the 29 year old woman and charged her.
