A 20-year-old woman from Bruce has been charged with manslaughter and several other offenses after a two-vehicle collision on Hindmarsh Drive in May, that resulted in the death of 20-year-old Matthew McLuckie.

According to police, the woman was driving on the wrong side of the road at a speed of at least 177 km/h when she collided head-on with the victim’s vehicle.

Both drivers suffered significant injuries, and the woman is still receiving medical care.

The woman has been summoned to appear in court in February, an investigation into a third vehicle that may have been involved in the collision is ongoing.
