A cattle dog from Yass has been located in Sydney’s CBD – nearly 300 kilometres from home.

Police were called to a carpark in Elizabeth Street on Wednesday, where they found a black and white cattle dog cross inside a Toyota RAV 4.

They later spoke to the owner of the vehicle, a 28 year old woman, who said she was travelling through Yass earlier that morning when she found the dog on the side of the road.

The dog, Speck, will be reunited with his owner today.
