A man will be sentenced later this year over the stabbing murder of a woman at Canberra Zoo.

It’s understood, New Information about the case is behind the change in the man’s plea to Guilty… after he was originally planning to fight the murder charge.

Yesterday in the A.C.T. Supreme Court, the 31 year old chef pleaded guilty, after which an agreed statement of facts was tendered.

In a letter, it appears the December 2023 stabbing was the result of an unreciprocated romance.

Sentencing will be held in October.
