Double demerits now in place

Double Demerits are now in force for the Anzac Day Long Weekend in the ACT.

The double demerit period will stay in place until midnight Monday.

During this period all speeding, seatbelt and mobile phone offences will attract double the amount of demerit points.

ACT Policing appealing for public’s help to identify man

ACT Policing is urgently seeking the public’s help to identify a man who is currently in hospital, and unable to provide any information about himself.

He was taken to hospital from Gungahlin Town Centre on Tuesday and had no ID on him, other than referring to himself as ‘Roger’.

A bill will be introduced in the ACT parliament today clearly outlawing the act of stealthing.
