A police task force in Canberra has been busy catching repeat offenders
The Taskforce “OPERATION TORIC” has laid 115 charges since its inception.
33 of them involve arrests from car theft.
The most recent incident involves a 30 year old Higgins man and his female passenger who are alleged to driven off without paying for fuel from a Charnwood Service Station.
The pair was later arrested in Mitchell.
Police are also urging Canberrans to secure their vehicles, with the majority of vehicle thefts occurring with the vehicle’s key.
