The construction of future data centres in the territory will be addressed through a comprehensive ACT Data Centre Framework, building on Australia wide standards agreed by National Cabinet.
The Framework confirms that future data centre development will be limited to locations already permitted under the ACT planning system, meaning none can be build in residential neighbourhoods.
