A graduation ceremony was held in Barton on July 30, welcoming the new recruits to the force.

The recruits form part of the ACT Government’s commitment to recruit an extra 126 new officers to ACT Policing over five years.

Two women and 17 men have officially joined the force.

Minister for Police Dr Marisa Paterson congratulated the new recruits, saying the community will now be safer and the police force better resourced.
