ACT Records withdrawn from auction

The ACT government has almost illegally sold off a series of territory records.

The records included architectural plans showing historical developments planned for prominent Canberra sites.

More than 30 framed drawings and other art work was advertised for sale last week, but has since been withdrawn.

National Trust ACT says public assets need to be better protected and Canberra’s heritage is too important to be flogged off for private gain.
