The ACT’s effective unemployment rate has fallen from 9.8 per cent in April to 5.2 per cent as of last month.

The figures coincide with the return of Federal Parliament and the gradual easing of restrictions, despite the pause amid the second wave of the pandemic in Victoria.

In the meantime, effective unemployment for the entire nation was 9.9 per cent in July, down from the peak of 14.9 per cent in April.
