ANU student downturn

The Territory Opposition says it’s concerned about a huge reduction in medical graduates from Australian National University electing to do their internships in Canberra’s hospital system.

New figures have been revealed, highlighting a continued downward trend of graduates staying in the A.C.T.

Opposition Health Spokeswoman LEANNE CASTLEY says the reduction needs to be addressed.

Figures this year show ANU graduates represent only 53 percent of interns in the Canberra Hospital system – down from 62 percent LAST year… and 84 percent in 2014.
