The National Capital Authority have reached a significant milestone on the Commonwealth Avenue Bridge Renewal project with piling starting for new lookouts at either end of the bridge.

To safely complete these works, Barrine Drive is now reduced to one lane between Albert Street West and Albert Street East, with no eastbound access towards Regatta Point for road users.

This is a long term closure, required until late next year.

Those travelling to Regatta Point are advised to avoid Commonwealth Avenue northbound where possible and use Kings Avenue instead.
