A multi-agency search is underway for a fisherman missing off Batemans Bay.

The initial alarm was raised last Saturday night when the 56 year old fisherman failed to return from a day’s fishing trip… onboard an 8 metre cruiser.

A search operation began… but so far, there’s been no sign of the man.

Today, multi agencies were called into the search, which has now been expanded from Port Stephens to the Victorian Border.

The rescue operation also wants to hear from other fishermen, who may be able to shed some light on the mans whereabouts.
