A body has been found in the search for a missing Canberra skier.

A police helicopter spotted a person in a remote area on Monday, but due to steep terrain it was unable to land or use its winching capabilities.

The operation resumed yesterday and the body of a man was located.

While it’s believed to be the body of the missing skier, he is yet to be formally identified.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
