Budget Woes Continue

Share:

Canberra’s Parliament House will play host to the upcoming Federal Budget which already has apparently been downgraded, even before it gets delivered.

Treasurer Jim Chalmers has flagged the budget will still have a surplus, but there’s poor growth in the Chinese economy – and a tumble in the iron ore price which hits the budget’s bottom line….

Then there’s concern about demand for steel from China.

Yesterday, the Treasurer remained calm and positive about the document… but reiterated, there won’t be a cut to the company tax rate.

Doctor Chalmers is due to visit Washington DC this week for another round of economic meetings… ahead of the budget, due in a month.
