There’s an urgent call for ACT residents to help shape the future of gynaecological cancer care.

The Australia New Zealand Gynaecological Oncology Group is urgently calling on ACT residents who have experienced gynaecological cancer, or cared for someone through it, to consider sharing their experience.

Through its Survivors Teaching Students program, people who choose to volunteer bring their lived experience into university classrooms, sharing their perspectives with medical, nursing and allied health students. 

CEO of the group, Caitlin Francis says hearing directly from someone who’s lived through a diagnosis helps future health professionals understand the impact cancer can have on every part of someone’s life.
