Canberra Parade

A big parade through Canberra involving members of the Australian Navy and their U.S. Counterparts.

It’s part of the Commissioning of the U.S.S. Canberra – the first ever American naval vessel, deployed to Australia.

100 members of the ship and another hundred from Australia’s H.M.A.S. Canberra will today march from Veteran’s Park to the National Convention Centre.

The U-S Ambassador to Australia  Caroline Kennedy who’s based in Canberra says the American ship’s Commissioning in Australia is a momentous occasion.

The parade began at 10am
