Canberra Records A New Coronavirus Case

For the second consecutive month the ACT has recorded a coronavirus case from a returned diplomat.

It’s the first time in 26 days a coronavirus case has been detected in the Territory, with health authorities now screening flights from Adelaide as the cluster continues to grow in South Australia.

The new case is another returned diplomat who is currently in quarantine, two close contacts are also in quarantine.

Health Minister Rachel Stephen-Smith has also announced the ACT will remain in a public health emergency until February.
