There is no end in sight for this cold snap that has taken over much of the east coast.

Some cities including Brisbane have experienced their coldest start to winter for more than a century.

Nine Weather Presenter Gavin Morris says Canberra will also be impacted.

“Probably one of the biggest outbreaks of frost that we have seen in some time,” Mr Morris said.

“Certainly it’s going to impact the South East Corridor, including the Capital where it’s forecast to hit -5 on Tuesday.”
