A man’s been granted bail after facing court over the bashing of his partner after Summernats.

The 52 year old from Wright faced the A.C.T. Magistrates court – charged with assault and burglary.

It’s alleged, the than a week ago – he forced open the garage door of his partner’s home.

He’s then accused of punching his partner in the head multiple times – causing the other man to fall backwards… and then further assaulted him.

It’s understood the pair had been in a relationship for two years and it’s not known what led to the incident.

The man is yet to enter a plea.
