A Canberra man’s due to face court today, following his weekend arrest for allegedly blowing nearly five times the legal drink driving limit.

Police were called to an accident on Saturday night in Macgregor after a car hit a tree.

A 39 year was arrested after allegedly recording a blood alcohol reading of POINT TWO THREE ONE.

His licence was suspended immediately – it’s further reported, the man had a provisional licence that was suspended in January last year.

He’s due to face the A.C.T. Magistrates court this morning.
