The latest ACT road crash data has revealed driving risks in Canberra.

A data-led observation about tailgating habits of Canberra drivers has revealed the most frequent collision in the Territory is the rear-end one.

In the study, almost 40 per cent of crashes were due to tailgating habits – equivalent to almost 32,000 incidents.

The peak times for a Canberra crash was between 8am-9am and between 3pm-6pm.

Evening peak crashes between 5pm-6pm accounted for 11 per cent of all crashes
